Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead the design, development, optimization, and validation of power, analog, and digital hardware systems.</li><li>Design and develop electrical circuits used in power conversion applications such as variable speed drives (VSD/VFD).</li><li>Perform technical feasibility analysis, architecture planning, and specification writing for new product designs.</li><li>Conduct thermal and electrical simulations, create hardware prototypes, and execute rigorous lab testing to validate designs against functional and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Collaborate closely with firmware developers to ensure smooth integration of hardware and software systems.</li><li>Support root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions for hardware-related product issues.</li><li>Perform FMEA, risk analysis, and drive design improvements based on reliability and manufacturability.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with product managers, marketing, and customers to translate market needs into viable hardware solutions.</li><li>Stay up to date with emerging trends in power electronics and hardware development to guide innovation and continuous improvement.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).</li><li>5 plus years of experience in electrical hardware design, particularly in the development of power electronic products or embedded systems.</li><li>Proficiency in hardware design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, PSIM, or PLECS.</li><li>Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design, EMI/EMC mitigation strategies, and thermal management for power systems.</li><li>Experience designing with modern power electronics topologies (e.g., VFDs, active front ends, PFC circuits).</li><li>Hands-on familiarity with embedded system development and C/C++ programming for microcontrollers.</li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>Work Hours: 40 hours/week</li><li>Visa Sponsorship: Not available for this role</li><li>Compensation: Competitive salary based on skills, experience, and market benchmarks</li></ul><div></div>Xylem is a global leader in water technology, committed to creating sustainable solutions that improve the way water is used, managed, conserved, and re-used.
