Our rugged, reliable, and innovative lidar and camera products are deployed on all seven continents-and even on other planets, where for instance a Teledyne Optech lidar provided proof of precipitation on Mars. Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Schematic Designer and FPGA Developer to join our Optech team and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art LiDAR systems.Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design and Development: Create and develop high-speed digital and analog schematics using Altium.</li><li>FPGA Development: Design, implement, and test FPGA logic designs using VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx platforms.</li><li>Simulation and Testing: Perform simulations and signal analysis using MATLAB and Xilinx VITIS to validate designs. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of FPGA designs.</li><li>System Integration: Integrate FPGA designs with System on Board (SOM) solutions, ensuring seamless hardware and software integration.</li><li>Documentation: Generate detailed design documentation, including schematics, test plans, and user manuals.</li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to ensure cohesive system development.</li><li>Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in FPGA development and high-speed design.</li></ul>Position Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Experience: Proven experience in schematic design and FPGA development, preferably with high-speed applications.</li></ul>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Proficiency in Altium for schematic design.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong knowledge of FPGA development using Xilinx tools, including VITIS.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with MATLAB for simulation and analysis.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with System on Board (SOM) integration.</li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of high-speed digital design principles.</li></ul>Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.ASSETS: <ul><li>Experience with additional FPGA platforms (e.g., Intel/Altera).</li><li>Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysis.</li><li>Familiarity with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.</li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
