About This Opportunity

Rachio seeks a Senior National Accounts Manager to drive channel growth, brand awareness, and a best-in-class commercial experience for our Omni-Channel Retail customers. You will be focused on driving insights and growth opportunities for our Consumer channel (which includes Costco, Lowes, The Home Depot, and more), partnering with Rachio’s Product team to thoughtfully design solutions and key product offerings, and providing education across the funnel. Using a customer insights-driven approach and deep experience in channel management, you will develop specific relationships, offerings, and go to market plans that lead to clear strategies and measurable results driving the business forward. Your CPG experience across multiple channels will influence customers at all levels of their organization, tactically and strategically. Your strategy will inform work across multiple departments including sales and marketing, product development, and engineering.  You will also be instrumental in the development and  execution of Rachio’s future Consumer strategy, ensuring clear channel and product objectives to help usher the success and growth of our Consumer division.

In this role you will have great autonomy and the direct impact of your work will be clear for the business. You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and work in alignment with leadership to grow strategic partnerships and increase visibility of those decisions across internal and external stakeholders.  In addition, you will partner closely with key stakeholders to define and tackle improvement opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Create long term business relationships with National Account merchandising teams and foster a sustainable competitive advantage for Rachio
  • Optimize Rachio’s competitive position and continually evolve the business strategy to profitably achieve or exceed sales plan by channel and retailer
  • Ensure merchandising Joint Business Plans are met without compromising Rachio’s market channel strategy
  • Render high level, strategic presentations to procure distribution and programming through the effective use of consumer, category and data insights
  • Partner with the Marketing team to refine aspects of the strategy to drive growth through key partnerships
  • Partner with the Chief Revenue Officer to accelerate brand awareness and conversion across the consumer channel
  • Partner with the Product team to represent and drive product and solution direction for our consumers
  • Be an expert on the Rachio brand and position as a category leader through key external partnerships
  • Develop educational programs, channel strategies, and pricing strategies to ensure the continual adoption and understanding of the Rachio ecosystem of products
  • Embrace a mixture of both quantitative and qualitative methods to back-up strategic recommendations with robust and reliable data

What Makes You A Great Fit

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CPG, lawn and garden experience is a plus
  • Experience in relationship management and influencing decision making with senior leaders
  • A superior strategist; proven ability to conceptualize problems and to abstract the dynamics of an evolving strategic business model - you love the idea of uncovering insights that unlock business growth and product offerings that appeal to an ever wider base of loyal customers 
  • Skilled data storyteller; you are comfortable weaving together disparate sources of information into a holistic story with strong recommendations based on market trends and consumer facts. 
  • Analytical mindset  with strong, demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking capabilities. You have experience with Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and Microsoft BI.
  • “Owner’s” attitude, including a willingness to tackle problems through to solutions and an ability to work both independently and across functions
  • Curious, nearly to a fault; your insatiable desire to get beyond surface level learning and uncover true insight is fueled by asking 2nd, 3rd and 4th order questions
  • Unwaveringly objective; you represent the voice of the consumer in all situations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and collaboration skills at all levels of the organization
  • Thrive in working flexibly and efficiently, exercising a balance between research rigor and nimble, fast-paced, rapidly iterative product cycles

Compensation

  • The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 with a bonus structure
  • Stock options

Location

  • This is a remote position
  • Candidates located in Northwest Arkansas are preferred, though the role is open to anywhere in the US
  • Travel expectations are 30%  and will be to key retail headquarters locations and quarterly sales functions
