SparkCharge is a fast-growing cleantech start-up that is reducing barriers to Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption. We design, manufacture, and sell portable, DC/DC Fast Charging systems (Level 3) for EVs. We also provide “Charging-as-a-Service” (CaaS) through our mobile app “Currently”, which allows EV owners to schedule charge delivery to wherever their vehicle is located. We launched our first product in November 2020 (CHAdeMO), and our second in April 2021 (CCS). SparkCharge earned $1MM investments on Shark Tank in 2020, and from New York State in 2018

Description:

We are looking for a high energy video, photo, and podcast creator/storyteller who is great with a camera (video and stills). This person will create great sounding, captivating videos and compelling images for social media, websites, press releases, and more. The SparkCharge Videographer / Photographer will also own all technical aspects of podcast recording and distribution. We all wear many hats, so a Videographer with screenwriting capabilities will have a huge advantage. You will need to be comfortable and productive in an office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering great looking video content with expert audio accompaniment
• Pre-shoot Documenting, Shooting, Managing Sound, and Editing videos for social media (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn). Some examples:
  • Product Reviews
  • Car Reviews
  • How to Videos
  • Keynote presentations
  • TikTok series
• Shooting/editing product and in the field service photos
• Capturing events that occur in our lab, customer locations, and various events (travel will also be part of the role)
• Creating content that captures the EV community
• Coordinating, recording, and editing the SparkCharge Podcast
• Contributing regularly to the SparkCharge Blog
• Working with the creative team to take still and motion graphics and integrate them into videos
• Proactively track new trends in video and social media, and adapt content as needed.

Requirements

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• Extensive video experience serving as a “one person crew” as well as a large production crew
• EV or Automotive industry experience
• Superior written and communication skills
• Ability to develop a breadth of content types
• Ability to manage tight deadlines
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail
• Desire to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Software knowledge that includes:
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Slack
  • Google Suite

Additional “Plus” Experiences include:

• Screen writing experience
