We can promise you rewarding work which makes a real impact, the chance to learn from inspiring colleagues from across a growing, global network and opportunities to grow personally and professionally.<br><br><br><b>The Position</b></div><ul style="margin-top:0.0px;"><li>The purpose of the job is to provide consistent and relevant support and guidance in relation to health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) matters to O&amp;M Solar/Batteries and High Voltage RES business units based in UK and Ireland.</li><li>The HSQE Advisor will work together with all value-streams across the UK to set and deliver business objectives that are balanced in terms of HSQE impact as well as cost efficiency.</li><li>There is a requirement for a manageable level of travel across the UK &amp; Ireland.</li><li>Physically be able to work on construction and operational sites (including climbing wind turbines subject to completing training, if required)</li></ul><div><b>Accountabilities</b></div><ul style="margin-top:0.0px;"><li>Reporting to the HSQE Manager to ensure that the HSQE performance of RES reflects good industry practice and complies with relevant legislation, guidance and company policies.</li><li>Provide HSQE advice to business units.</li><li>Undertake assurance activities.</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain the HSQE policies, procedures, and systems in line with the company’s objectives and legal requirements</li><li>Analyse HSQE trends identified through incidents, audit and inspections and present finding and recommendations to business units.</li><li>Undertake regular site HSQE visits, varying depending on the risks or emergent issues.</li><li>Undertake incident investigations.</li><li>Engage in a positive and collaborative manner with contractor partners, clients and any other relevant stakeholders.</li><li>Support the business in the setting out competency requirements and to help develop training programmes.</li><li>Promote a positive HSQE culture within the organisation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Undertake tasks as directed by the HSQE Manager as and when required. </li></ul><div> </div><div><b>Skills you will need:</b></div><ul style="margin-top:0.0px;"><li>Able to make sound and timely decisions based on relevant information, analysis and judgement.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with various stakeholders, such as regulators, clients, contractors and suppliers, as well as to build rapport, trust and collaboration within and across teams.</li><li>Able to establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with various stakeholders, based on mutual respect and understanding. </li></ul><div><b>Knowledge you will need:</b></div><ul style="margin-top:0.0px;"><li>Renewable Energy degree or Solar PV Installer &amp; Wind Turbine Tech Courses. / IOSH Managing safely or similar / NEBOSH</li><li>Minimum requirement, CMIOSH or working towards CMIOSH.</li><li>ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 lead auditor certification or equivalent</li><li>Strong knowledge of HSQE legislation, standards and best practices applicable to the UK&amp;I</li></ul><div><b>Experience you will have:</b></div><ul style="margin-top:0.0px;"><li>Experience in the renewables sector and/or experience of operational sites</li><li>Experience of construction or manufacturing industry will be considered.</li><li>Undertaking internal and supplier audits.</li><li>Experience applying, implementing, and developing of Quality, Health and Safety and/or Environment management systems. </li></ul><div><b>Other attributes:</b></div><ul style="margin-top:0.0px;"><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HSQE software tools</li><li>Physically able to work on construction and operational sites (including climbing wind turbines subject to completing training)</li><li>Full Driving License that allows driving in the UK &amp; Ireland. </li><li>Right to work in the UK is mandatory</li></ul><div>At RES we celebrate difference as we know it makes our company a great place to work.
