Bird is hiring a Contingent Workforce Program Manager who will lead the operations management for all contractors, consultants, temps, and vendors for Bird globally. You will work with cross functional leaders to create a successful contingent staffing strategy, ensure compliance, and educate on our internal contingent workforce program. This role is critical in shaping and scaling our teams as we continue to grow rapidly.  To be successful, you must be both strategic and hands-on, motivated by the challenge to build teams at scale, and dedicated to creating HR solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create a global full lifecycle contingent workforce strategy and program
  • Collaborate with leaders across the company to determine contingent resourcing needs, with an indepth focus on global Operations teams
  • Be the main point of contact on employment matters for all contractors, consultants, temps, and vendors for Bird teams globally (US, EMEA, and APAC)
  • Collaborate with vendor management, legal, finance, and IT teams in establishing efficient internal processes for contract reviews, budgeting, onboarding, and offboarding practices for 3rd parties for temps, vendors, and contractors
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and owner of best-in-class contingent workforce compliance management across all geographies

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and/or Masters in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of managing Contingent Workforce Programs with a focus on negotiating contracts and establishing end-to-end contingent workforce best practices
  • Strong understanding of independent contractor legal standards to make classification determinations, ensure proper contracting, and identify risk warranting legal advice
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills is essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization
  • Able to expertly navigate a large organization to build key relationships internally and externally
