Founded in Sydney in 2017, Zoomo is leading the world at providing utility e-bikes and after market servicing. We’re a fast growing tech start up with a global footprint across Australia, the US and the UK. We are doubling in size every 6 months!

THE ROLE

We’re looking for interns who have a deep desire for creating innovative and disruptive next gen technology in the light electric vehicle space. If you live and breath innovation then we have a variety of projects that may be for you, including: IoT, data analysis, optimisation, algorithms, AI, ML, battery management, mechanical FEAs, wired/wireless data transmission, technology review and competitor analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating, proposing and presenting concepts, prototypes and analysis
• Design thinking, UX/UI storyboarding and developing user flows
• Prototyping and reiterative design testing of concepts and prototypes
• Documentation and analysis of results
• Reports to the IoT Embedded Systems Lead & Director of Product Hardware

Requirements

• Highly proficient visual, verbal and written English communication skills
• Analytical and quantitative skills
• Must legally be able to work in Australia
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Curiosity to learn
• Can work in a team and independently in a fast paced environment

In penultimate or final year of study or graduate of one of the following or equivalent degrees:

• Electrical Engineer
• Electronics Engineer
• Software Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineer
• Mechanical Engineering
• Quality & Reliability Engineering
• Computer Science
• Data analyst/ Data Science/ Statistician/ Mathematics

We prefer experience with at least a couple of the following skills not the entire category.

• Microcontroller: Raspberry Pi, Arduino (Uno, Mega, Due, Feather), ESP32, STM32, ARM, RTOS
• Langauges: C, C++, Python, SQL, R, Assembly
• CAD: Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, FEA analysis, Simulation Software, 3D printing
• ECAD: Autodesk Eagle, Altium, Circuit design
• Communication protocols: CAN bus, I2C, SPI, Serial, UART, RS232, RS485, Bluetooth, Wifi, 2G, 3G, 4G, CAT M1, CAT 1, GPS, GPRS, LoRaWAN
• Statistics: Minitab, Matlab, Excel/GoogleSheets, Reliability Engineering, Quality engineering
• Platforms: Google docs/sheets, JIRA, Notion, Microsoft Office
• Methodologies: Agile Sprints, SCRUM, Rapid Prototyping, Reiterative design, Design for Manufacture, Design for Servicing, Process driven
• Can preferably ride a bike (not required)
