Primary responsibility to perform high-quality welding and metal fabrication tasks to support the repair, modification, and structural integrity of plant systems and equipment. While primarily focused on welding projects, they will also support maintenance activities, such as module maintenance, and plant improvement projects.  Supports planning efforts and inventory control by following proper requisition procedures for tools, parts, and supplies. Prepares reports as required by management and plant protocols. Maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and ensures adherence to plant safety and operational procedures. Actively promotes and maintains a safe and orderly work environment. Roles &amp; Responsibilities <ul><li>Perform code-compliant welding on piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boiler tubes, ductwork, and support structures</li><li>Execute various welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW) on materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and specialty alloys</li><li>Fabricate brackets, frames, guards, and other components from shop drawings, isometrics, or field measurements</li><li>Use cutting, grinding, beveling, and forming tools for prep work and post-weld finishing</li><li>Identify opportunities for plant improvements and related maintenance activities, equipment reliability, and safety</li><li>Accountable for tasks where errors can have significant consequences and may not be subject to direct oversight.</li><li>Interpret blueprints, P&amp;IDs, and welding symbols to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality</li><li>Maintain traceability and documentation of weld procedures, repairs, and materials used</li><li>May coordinate and support others in completing assignments within defined schedules and priorities.</li><li>Support outage and turnaround work by preparing, modifying, or replacing large welded assemblies under time-sensitive conditions</li></ul> Key Qualifications <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; completion of technical/vocational training is strongly preferred.</li><li>Professional with 3+ years of directly related experience with welding, including a solid understanding of health and safety regulations.</li><li>Proficiency in multiple welding processes: SMAW, TIG, MIG  &amp; FCAW</li><li>Skilled in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels used in high-temperature/pressure service</li><li>Experience fabricating and repairing components like:</li><li>Capable of interpreting blueprints, P&amp;IDs, and welding symbols</li><li>Proficient in operating cutting, grinding, and forming tools (plasma cutters, torches, bevelers, etc.)</li><li>Strong understanding of hot work safety protocols, including fire watch, gas testing, and confined space entry</li></ul> Additional Qualifications Desired <ul><li>Hands-on experience with maintenance of industrial steam boilers, battery storage systems, and high temperature fluid loops.</li><li>Experience with boiler operations and steam systems</li><li>Experience with lifting equipment such as telehandlers and small cranes</li></ul> Relocation assistance, is available.
