Position: Assistant Manager, Collections Ames, IA

We are looking for an Assistant Collections Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Collections Manager and assist in the supervision of Collection Specialists for Pivot Bio. In this role, the Assistant Collections Manager will directly support customer collections and will assist in the supervision of Collection Specialists in the day-to-day activities of contacting customers regarding past-due payments. The Assistant Manager of Collections serves as part of the customer experience team within the Customer Success Center located in Ames, Iowa.

Responsibilities: 

  • Supports the company’s process of retrieving money owed to them based on a set of written policies. 
  • Assists the Collections manager in the day-to-day operations of the Pivot Bio collections team.
  • In low-volume periods of time, will assist with other customer experience functions or support the finance team on a project basis.
  • Assists in ensuring the Collection Specialists comply with company policies when contacting individuals and other companies to collect past-due balances.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • B.S. or B.A. in Finance or Business-related field preferred.
  • Experience handling complaints or difficult calls with customers. 
  • Ability to be empathetic and focused on providing the best experience to all customers, regardless of their repayment situations.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills required.

Other:

  • Ability to work on a computer or be on telephone calls for 7 hours/day.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Occasional nights and weekends, which could include overtime.
