You will report to Director, Product Engineering</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with plant engineering, instrumentation &amp; controls engineering, power systems engineering, and suppliers to develop AC power distribution systems for plant hardware</li><li>Coordinate and integrate 3D models between systems. Export BOMs/MTO for procurement and fabrication purposes.</li><li>Create plant electrical drawings (e.g. Single Line Diagrams, Installation Details)</li><li>Perform electrical equipment sizing calculations sizing following code and first principles</li><li>Evaluate cost trade-offs. E.g. distributed and centralized plant electrical designs</li><li>Interpret P&amp;IDs, Vendor Wiring Diagrams, and other drawings typical of the process industry</li><li>Develop specifications for plant backup power systems, including generators and control voltage uninterruptible power supply hardware</li><li>Design for the effects of EMI and EMI compliance for plant electrical systems</li><li>Design &amp; review plant grounding and bonding systems</li><li>Execute fundamental electrical engineering studies (e.g. Load Flow, Grounding)</li><li>20% travel to contractor, vendor, and customer sites, mostly domestic</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering</li><li>5+ years of experience in industrial plant electrical distribution design (Skidded/Modular)</li><li>2+ years' experience commissioning, operating, or maintaining plant electrical hardware in an onsite setting</li><li>NFPA 70 Chapter 5 Article 500 and ATEX Directive/IECEx Protection Methods for Electrical Systems in Hazardous Areas</li><li>Specialist in large induction electric motor controls and different industrial starter/control schemes (pumps, fans)</li><li>Excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills (AutoCAD Electrical)</li><li>Thermal management of electrical power distribution systems (HVAC, Solar heat gain, etc)</li><li>Proficiency in ETAP or SKM electrical design &amp; simulation software</li><li>Knowledge of NFPA 70/NEC, IEEE and IEC Codes and Standards</li><li>Relay Coordination Studies of Complex Plant Electrical Systems</li><li>Product Certification Experience preferred (e.g. UL Listing, Field Certification)</li><li>P.E.
