This role will focus on triggering and timing systems operating in the 5kV range, requiring expertise in pulsed electronics, time-domain systems, and hands-on testing and integration.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul style=""><li>Design, implement, and troubleshoot high-voltage pulsed systems (up to 5kV) for diagnostic timing and triggering applications.</li><li>Develop and validate timing synchronization systems with sub-nanosecond precision across complex experimental setups.</li><li>Collaborate with scientists and engineers to integrate pulsed systems into larger diagnostic platforms.</li><li>Support hands-on testing, field deployment, and system maintenance, including troubleshooting and upgrades.</li><li>Document system designs, test procedures, and operational practices for pulsed power systems.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul style=""><li>B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.</li><li>Strong understanding of pulsed electronics, time-domain systems, or RF systems with time-domain applications.</li><li>Hands-on experience with high-voltage test equipment, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and fast diagnostics.</li><li>Ability to transition from design through field testing, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.</li><li>Motivated and adaptable, capable of pivoting between multiple technical domains.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul style=""><li>Background in national labs, accelerator systems, military/aerospace timing or triggering systems.</li><li>Familiarity with diagnostic timing in beamlines, fusion experiments, or medical x-ray systems.</li><li>Experience in both low-power RF systems and high-voltage pulsed applications.</li></ul><h2>Benefits:</h2><ul style=""><li>Industry-competitive salary</li><li>Equity plan</li><li>6% employer 401k matching</li><li>Generous paid time off (including sick leave, vacation, paid family leave)</li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance</li></ul>Actual base salary offered will be determined by: experience, skills, and work location.
