Position: Graphic Designer; Ames, IA

Pivot Bio is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to develop graphics for print, web and video. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design. The ideal candidate will balance the creative process with technical execution while keeping within timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Exceptional conceptual and design skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must have an eye for fine detail, and ability to spot design inconsistencies
• Full understanding of prepress and print production as well as web-based software
• Working knowledge of a wide range of media; including print, digital, photography and storyboard development for video
• Able to take on a project from initial concept and development, and see it through to final completion
• Able to work alone, but also able to work with a team and accept critique and direction
• Desire to learn, understand and apply new technologies

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Agriculture industry experience preferred
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing/advertising agency or related field
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint/Word/Excel)
• The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of interactive design, graphic and animation design, web and mobile browser capabilities, and HTML is a plus
• Ability to write the occasional headline and/or block of copy is a plus
