About the positionYou will work with our engineers, product owners and the rest of our QA team at every stage of the development process to ensure that our products reliably provide value to our customers. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities and the detection and resolution of problems.Our products are used by shipping company engineers and captains to optimise the technical operations and navigation of their vessels based on our in-house developed AI and optimisation algorithms. You will need to gain a good understanding of the vision and underlying technology behind our products and the needs that they satisfy. You will:<ul><li>Liaise with researchers, product owners and upper management at an early stage to understand the vision, technology and customer needs behind upcoming releases</li><li>Support engineers during their research, development and testing with guidance on technique, standards, tools and test cases.</li><li>Design, develop and implement test standards</li><li>Plan, execute and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing products</li><li>Collect information to design and document reusable test scripts</li><li>Work closely with engineers to diagnose issues, resolve defects, and make sure that product releases follow project specifications</li></ul>Job requirements<ul><li>Proven track record and competency in Quality Assurance roles for SaaS products, including test planning, test case design, test case prioritization, test case execution, bug reporting &amp; tracking. </li><li>10+ years experience in a related role</li><li>Experience in testing web applications, including both back-end systems and front-end GUIs, web services, and relational databases. Experience with DB scripting. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices, and defect management practice.</li><li>Knowledge of test automation frameworks.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript/JQuery, HTML5, XML, SQL queries and RDBMS. Experience with NoSQL engines is considered a plus.</li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills</li><li>Ability to work in a self-motivated, driven way in a highly dynamic environment with changing requirements, tight deadlines and multi-tasking.
