As the Global Benefits and Wellness Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team to develop and manage Bird’s benefits and wellness programs globally. This role is essential in supporting the wellbeing of our team members in and out of the office. We are searching for someone who is innovative, proactive, engaging, and detail focused to build programs that will impact our team members globally.

Responsibilities

  • Work with management team to manage and evolve Bird’s global employee benefits program in the US, EMEA, and APAC
  • Manage external vendor relationships, including benefit carriers, domestic and international brokers, and service providers
  • Evaluate effectiveness of benefit and wellness programs through engagement and cost analysis
  • Ensure all benefit offerings align with our benefits philosophy; partner with benefits brokers to market benefits annually and provide insight and cost impact to management
  • Champion & drive utilization of programs
  • Manage employee communication related to benefits and wellness programs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates and legislation (ERISA, HRC, HIPPA, COBRA, IRS, DOL and CMS) at all times
  • Track and coordinate benefits for FMLA, LOA, WC and STD leave
  • Manage a team

Requirements

  • 5 years of benefits experience, at least 2 managing a team
  • Experience creating and modifying global benefits programs
  • Exposure to managing international brokers/vendors
  • Team player with a high sense of urgency to interact at all levels of the organization
