The candidate will work with multi-disciplinary teams to drive product/specification related investigations to resolution for the products in production. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for impactful results in a fast-paced environment</p><p> </p><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Solve complex component/system level problems using standard problem-solving techniques and Design of Experiments (DoE)</li><li>Data driven proactive problem solving, root cause analysis &amp; issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issues</li><li>Troubleshoot all Drive Unit, motor gearbox related issues with datalink communication tools</li><li>Provide design for manufacturability (DFM), design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) &amp; serviceability feedback in future product development processes</li><li>Responsible for Assembly Drawings and Design Intent Assembly requirements of Drive Unit System</li><li>Advise on build process development and possible improvements for high volume production lines</li><li>Drive product change management to address known product compatibility issues for high volume production or known product design issues in production</li></ul><p> </p><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>BS in Mechanical or Automotive disciplines with 4+ years of automotive experience in design and release of vehicle attributes.</li><li>Experience in product problem solving using industry standard techniques.</li><li>Proficient in data analysis using statistics Minitab or JMP, Python, MATLAB</li><li>Previously participated in prototype builds or launch events.</li><li>Knowledge of Electric Drive Unit, Inverters, MCU, &amp; associated troubleshooting.</li><li>Experience with design and release of automotive transmission components</li><li>Experience in using DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&amp;R, DFM, &amp; RCA with cross-functional teams</li><li>Exceptional communication and documentation skills are required using Atlassian products.</li><li>Requires proficiency in Catia or 3DX, Stack up analysis (2D &amp; 3D), SQL, Canalyzer</li><li>Travel is required between the factory in Casa Grande, AZ and Engineering HQ in Newark, CA on as needed basis</li></ul><p>Preferred</p><ul><li>MS in Mechanical or Automotive disciplines with 2+ years of automotive experience in design and release of vehicle attributes</li><li>Hands on experience in design &amp; release of components in E-Motor, Planetary Gear Trains, &amp; DU assemblies</li></ul></div><div> </div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
