Will put together technical as well as commercial proposals for moderate to complex customer process solutions, requiring performance/outcome guarantees on a long-term basis. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provides inputs to drive the design of the technical solution/build appropriate solution based on customer requirements and site specific considerations. This will require knowledge of a wide range of technologies, as well as the fundamentals of electrical power engineering, process controls, SCADA &amp; IoT, water treatment, water hydraulics, and structural design. </li><li>Selects appropriate equipment / materials to meet customer needs and to develop project costing and pricing. </li><li>Generates customer proposals utilizing standard tools, seeks and gains appropriate approval levels. </li><li>Accompanies and assists commercial teams on customer site visits – where a site appraisal/feasibility study is required. </li><li>Plays an active role in the safety culture of the company, ensuring the safety of oneself and the safety of others. </li><li>Administers and reviews submittal documents that have been prepared for customers and/or tenders. </li><li>Coordinates with a wide spectrum of stakeholders to adhere to strict customer project timelines. </li><li>Identifies opportunities to vertically integrate xylem products to be able to deliver end-to-end engineered solutions. </li><li>Builds and nurtures relationships with key stakeholders within all of Xylem Europe’s commercial teams. </li><li>Stays informed on changes to EU legislation that will drive product and market/application opportunities. </li><li>Drives continuous improvement in how we design, cost, price and contract long-term outcome/performance contracts. </li></ul>Key Competencies: <ul><li>High-level of proficiency with MS Office applications. </li><li>Excellent ability to communicate in English, French OR Turkish is a strong advantage </li><li>Cross-boundary collaboration with stakeholders from other business areas and disciplines. </li><li>Ability to build relationships and to influence key stakeholders without having a direct supervisory relationship. </li><li>Ability to engage and communicate effectively in customer-facing settings. </li><li>Good understanding of technical and commercial risks involved in the design and development of solutions. </li><li>Solid understanding of the sales process and how organizational role influences outcome. </li><li>Working understanding of contractual terms and conditions. </li><li>Thorough understanding of common components and their application. </li><li>Good understanding of pricing and financial principles as related to lifecycle services and/or long-term contractual arrangements. </li><li>Positive mindset with a focus on what can be done (rather than on what cannot be done). </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. </li><li>Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently with initiative in a fast-paced environment </li></ul>Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification: <ul><li>Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil or similar). </li><li>2 years experience in similar field </li></ul>#LI-HybridJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
