About the Role

Afresh is looking to add a Senior Accountant to our growing accounting team! You will work closely with the Sr. Accounting Manager to assist with various day-to-day accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to learn and grow in a great company that makes a huge impact on society by reducing food waste and climate change!

What will you be doing? 

  • Ensure accuracy of accounting records in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures
  • Perform and manage the full accounts payable operations using Airbase
  • Onboard new vendors and maintain the vendor relationships
  • Review new vendor contracts
  • Process annual 1099 filings
  • Prepare month-end accruals, prepaids, amortization and other adjustment entries
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare month-end workpapers 
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis
  • Assist with implementing new systems and processes 
  • Assist with audit preparations 

 

What Skills and Experience do you need?

  • 3+ years of accounting operations experience, preferably in SaaS startups
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related fields
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask 
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and G-Suite applications
  • CPA or CPA candidate
