Job Description

Resonant Link accelerates electrification by Powering Fleets While They Work, integrating our fast wireless chargers into the stops that already exist during fleet operation (think pick stations for robots or loading docks for forklifts). Our world-class team has quadrupled in less than a year to power mission-critical applications for multiple Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.

As our Director of Product, you will represent the voice of the customer within our organization. You will play an essential cross-functional role at Resonant Link by owning our product roadmap and leading our prioritization and resourcing strategy. You’ll work closely with our CEO, Engineering teams, business development team, and our customers to deliver world-class wireless chargers that revolutionize everything from micromobility to commercial autonomous vehicles.

On an average day, you’ll…

  • Meet with industry-leading customers to learn their wireless power needs and present Resonant Link’s solutions. You will understand our customers better than anyone else in the world.
  • Help the company plan and strategize quarterly OKRs and KPIs.
  • Translate business objectives into the product strategy and successfully execute.
  • Develop our product roadmap based on industry trends, customer needs, and cross-functional feedback from the team.
  • Manage products using metrics-driven approach and continuously improve on key metrics.
  • Interface with our world-leading Magnetics, Mechanical, Embedded, and Power Electronics teams to steer development based on roadmap priorities, with tight collaboration and iteration among our entire organization.
  • Liaison between pioneering customers and the internal team to test and validate early prototypes and deploy pilots.
  • Align with our Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales teams to move the product concepts and prototypes to high-volume production and delivery to our customers.
  • Learn from world-class experts inside and outside the organization, with technical leaders, customers, and partners engaged and accessible every week at Resonant Link.

The team you will be joining:

Our team includes engineers with PhDs from Berkeley, Dartmouth, ETH Zurich, Michigan, and Stanford and business & technical experience at Tesla, Apple, Dynapower, iRobot, and Harvard Medical School. We are critically reliant on our team members’ ownership, creativity, technical rigor, and collaboration to deliver on our first-of-their-kind power electronics.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Product Management or related role, preferably in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment (hardware or deep tech experience preferred).
  • Experience hiring, managing, and scaling world-class product and design teams.
  • Hands-on experience prototyping and validating product concepts with customers and translating that customer feedback into actionable objectives for the team.
  • Experience writing high-level product and market requirements documents, owning product pricing, and specifying customer requirements.
  • Management experience is preferred.
  • Must have up-to-date vaccinations for COVID-19 and use a mask while on-site (mask requirement subject to change as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves).

Who we’re looking for:

  • You have a portfolio of prior products you’ve managed.
  • You have a self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources.
  • You are obsessed with the customer and spend most of your time defining their needs and understanding their challenges.
  • You’re comfortable traveling to customers’ offices and leading meetings among both individual contributors and senior management.
  • You have a high-level understanding of the process for delivering electronics to enterprise customers, from concept through production and support.
  • You are comfortable operating in a fast paced, high-tech, high-profile start-up where decisions and progress must be made with imperfect information
  • You have a passion for technical challenges at the boundary between scientific innovation and productization.
  • You are driven - you love owning your goals - and you’re empathetic, respectful, and honest.
  • You are open to working on-site or visiting our high-power lab in Burlington, VT (about once per quarter).

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and generous stock options
  • Paid holidays (including a week off at new year) and an unlimited vacation policy
  • The flexibility to work anywhere and a home office stipend for fully remote employees
  • 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for employees
  • 401(k) retirement benefit
  • Generous paid parental and family leave
  • Learning/career development investment in your professional and personal growth including hiring outside mentors, a large professional development stipend, and more
  • Company outings & team retreats (post-pandemic!)
