We encourage candidates who may not meet all the listed requirements but can demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly on the job to apply.</p><p>The role:</p><ul><li>Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.</li><li>Measure, cut, drill, bend, and assemble metal components and piping systems using appropriate tools and machines (e.g., saws, grinders, drills, pipe cutters).</li><li>Maintain and repair fabrication tools and equipment.</li><li>Fabricate and fit metal structures or pipe systems based on specifications and tolerances.</li><li>Set up laboratory test benches, instrument the test setup and execute test procedures </li><li>Diagnose, maintain, and repair prototype vehicles and bench systems</li><li>Assist engineers in finding and solving potential design, assembly, and service issues</li><li>Instrument an automobile meant for engineering testing and field support during various test trips</li><li>Order essential supplies and manage all laboratory equipment</li><li>Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Proficient in the use of fabrication tools and machinery.</li><li>Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in a shop or field environment.</li><li>Experience in working with cars,</li><li>Ability to independently execute test procedures under direction of an engineer,</li><li>Ability to travel and drive prototype vehicles – domestic and international,</li><li>Willing to work overtime, weekends, etc...</li></ul><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>Basic knowledge of using Data acquisition system e.g. NI DAQ, Vector tools, Dewesoft,</li><li>Proficiency in basic thermal measurement methodologies, e.g. temperature sensors, pressure transducers and flow meter, using automated data acquisition,</li><li>Familiarity with in-vehicle communication protocols e.g. LIN and CAN,</li><li>Operational knowledge of using test and measurement systems such as LabVIEW and CANalyzer, </li><li>Basic understanding of thermal engineering principles</li><li>Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with refrigeration systems and operating refrigeration equipment</li></ul><p>Education: Preferred: Degree/Experience in Automotive Technology or ASE Certification, or AS/AA and 3+ years related experience</p><div><div><div><div><strong>Salary Range</strong>: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
