Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be excellent at multi-tasking.</p><p> </p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>As a Senior Technical Specialist at Lucid, you will be responsible for delivering the best-in-class technical solutions for Body in White and Closures Systems across all Lucid programs:</p><ul><li>Advanced Technology Introductions, implement world-class simulation techniques to deliver BIW and Closures. Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and apply them to improve design and manufacturing processes.</li><li>Technical Leadership, provide direction for others and negotiate balanced solutions. Participate in technical reviews and escalations to ensure alignment and proactive resolution of issues</li><li>Responsible for overall alignment and coordination of PQ, craftsmanship, dimensional analysis and bill of process development of the BIW and Closures systems.</li><li>Support for advanced concept development of Body In White architectural strategy</li><li>Author Lucid specifications, design rules, and best practice documentation, while driving process improvements and efficiencies.</li><li>Run lessons learned reviews, sign off DFMEA and DVP, and support vehicle level target reviews.</li><li>Involvement from concept, through pilot build and production ramp activities and part and process maturation activities.</li><li>Work closely with other stake owners and attribute owners across the company such as Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, Design Studio, etc. to create world class designs.</li><li>Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities.</li><li>Travel domestically and internationally as required.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>10+ years of expertise in automotive BIW and/or Closures systems at OEM or supplier desired.</li><li>Solid track record of successful system level integration.</li><li>Experience working with Class A surface data.</li><li>Proven 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or similar software (desired to do it)</li><li>Hands-on practical experience in prototype assembly and production assembly with the willingness to assemble your own parts.</li><li>Experience in technology, system, and supplier selection.</li><li>Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.</li><li>Detail oriented personality with a determined problem-solving attitude using an Engineering first principles approach.</li><li>A strong understanding of various analysis tools such as ANSYS, OptiStruct, MatLab, ADAMS, etc.</li><li>Proof of excellence in your past position, while demonstrating profound creativity in resolving mechanical design problems.</li><li>Experience in full life cycle development from concept to prototype to full production.</li><li>Knowledge of manufacturing processes applicable for BIW and Closures Systems</li></ul><p>Education:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from ABET accredited institution or equivalent closures automotive experience</li><li>Masters Degree preferred.</li></ul><div><div><div><div><strong>Salary Range</strong>: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
