AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based in Houston, TX.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Undertaking design and planning activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal defense and development schemes.</li><li>Maritime design and planning, including maritime codes/standards such as USACE, PIANC, OCIMF.</li><li>Structural design for wharves, piles, sheet piles, bulkheads, dolphins, across the United States.</li><li>Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details.</li><li>Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.</li><li>Provides guidance to entry level engineers.</li><li>Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.</li><li>Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.</li><li>Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed.</li><li>Occasional short to medium term site visits may also become necessary depending on project requirements.</li></ul>
