Role Summary:<ol><li>The Strategic Procurement Manager will oversee the procurement lifecycle, ensuring effective negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder collaboration to drive optimal value for the business.</li><li>The role requires expertise in category buying, service agreement finalization, and equipment leasing/renting to support operational and strategic objectives. The role involves 10% of transactions apart from strategy.</li></ol>      Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Category Procurement &amp; Service Agreements:</li></ol><ul><li>Lead the finalization of all category buying and service agreements, including equipment hiring.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive evaluations of leasing and renting options for various equipment.</li></ul><ol><li>Economic Viability &amp; Decision Support:</li></ol><ul><li>Evaluate the life cycle cost of products.</li><li>Assess economic feasibility and propose recommendations on hiring versus owning assets to business leadership.</li><li>Develop cost-saving initiatives and optimize operational budgets in alignment with business goals.</li></ul><ol><li>Strategic Negotiation &amp; Planning:</li></ol><ul><li>Conduct robust negotiations to secure favorable terms for the organization.</li><li>Use historical data analysis, forecasting, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments to frame strategic procurement decisions.</li></ul><ol><li>Regulatory &amp; Safety Compliance:</li></ol><ul><li>Ensure all local statutory, regulatory, and safety compliances are adhered to in procurement processes and incorporated into agreements.</li></ul><ol><li>Contract Management &amp; Risk Mitigation:</li></ol><ul><li>Draft, review, and manage contracts with secure terms, including Liquidated Damages (LD), penalties, and bonuses that are crucial for business interests.</li><li>Mitigate risks through clear definition of roles, responsibilities, and deliverables in contracts.</li></ul><ol><li>Stakeholder Collaboration:</li></ol><ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organizational needs.</li></ul><ol><li>Issue Resolution &amp; Post-Procurement Support:</li></ol><ul><li>Resolve post-Purchase Order (PO) disputes, reconciliation, and ensure smooth issue resolution withsite operations and contractors.</li></ul><ol><li>Process Improvement &amp; Innovation:</li></ol><ul><li>Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and implement innovative solutions for better efficiency and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Leverage digital tools and analytics to streamline procurement functions.</li></ul><ol><li>Vendor Management:</li></ol><ul><li>Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.</li><li>Ensure vendor compliance with organizational standards and expectations.</li></ul><ol><li>Team Collaboration:</li></ol><ul><li>Collaborate with site buyers and strategy team members to build expertise and enhance overall performance.</li><li>Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the team.</li></ul><ol><li>Procurement MIS:</li></ol><ul><li>Track cost savings and cost avoidance.</li><li>Review and tracking of managed spend /BPA/CPA’s</li><li>Prepare and submit monthly MIS reports.</li><li>Track delivery performance.</li></ul>
