Are you ready to jump onboard?We are looking for a Senior Service Engineer, Field Service to be based in Ireland, reporting to our Fareham location.  What you will do:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Independently execute Field Service activities such as overhaul, repair and basic trouble shooting.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Be aware of the local work instructions for overhauling components and ensure they are understood and adhered to.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Ensure that all activities on-site are carried out in accordance with the site safety rules and in compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety obligations.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Liaise closely with the On-Site Team Leader/Service Coordinator to provide progress status of the assigned work and ensure service deadlines are met.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Liaise with customers on site handling enquiries and technical queries.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Actively advise and promote available products and solutions to customers.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Ensure that all timesheets (signed by customer) and expense sheets are submitted weekly.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Submit accurate and high-quality service work reports within 48 hours of returning home from assigned jobs.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">To adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude when requested to assist Company staff with any “ad-hoc” duties that may be required  </li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Carry out all tasks in such a way as to always ensure maximum (internal and external) satisfaction to the extent that this is within the employee’s control.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.</li></ul> To be successful in this role, it would be great to have the following:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">BSc degree in Engineering and/or proven experience (3years minimum) in a field for service works with installation of mechanical, electric, and auxiliary equipment.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Experience with work on Wärtsilä's products will be beneficial.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Awareness and readiness to take up the tasks for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting both on engines, auxiliary systems, and our service products.</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Good understanding of technical instructions, drawings, schematic diagrams (e.g., pneumatic, electric systems).</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Readiness to travel and work in the UK, abroad as well as offshore (foreseen up to 200 days/year).</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Very good English skills – spoken and in written.</li></ul> Why you and us?<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">You are valued – as your true self.
