We’re open to shaping this role around the right person, including part-time setups or splitting the responsibilities across multiple hires.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><p>Regulatory &amp; Standards Landscape<br>Monitor and interpret emerging trends in carbon standards, EU regulations (e.g. CSRD, EU CRCF), and national climate policies relevant to our projects and buyers.</p><p>Methodology Projects<br>Lead or support the development, comparison, and application of methodologies for our portfolio of forestry projects. This includes working closely with forestry professionals and academics, as well as our partners at Wald-Klimaschutz Schweiz, to further develop our offering of carbon credits.</p><p>Strategic Special Projects<br>Manage one-off or cross-functional initiatives – e.g. launching pilot projects with partners, supporting R&amp;D efforts, public funding proposals or contributing to industry consultations.</p><p>Product-Market Fit<br>Translate regulatory and methodological requirements into inputs for our digital products (e.g. Project Design Studio, Registry, Impact Dashboard), working closely with product, data, sales and design teams.</p><p>Partnerships &amp; Representation<br>Represent our perspective in industry working groups and at conferences. Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, standard setters, and project partners.</p><p>Biodiversity and Co-Benefits  </p><p>ProFIT Berlin Project  </p><h2>What You Bring</h2><ul><li>Academic background in environmental science, forestry, political science, economics, or similar.</li><li>Strong interest in climate policy, carbon markets, and nature-based solutions.</li><li>2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, analytical, or cross-functional role (e.g. consulting, sustainability, public affairs, or startup/scale-up environments).</li><li>Excellent project management and organisational skills – you enjoy taking ownership.</li><li>Strong communication and synthesis abilities – you can extract insights from policies and market research to create business value.</li><li>You’re comfortable with ambiguity and need little direction to deliver results.</li><li>You’re a fast, self-directed learner who enjoys a steep learning curve and is willing to dive into the nitty gritty of methodologies and policies to create impact.</li><li>You like wearing many hats and working on a diverse range of topics with diverse internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>You’re effective in employing AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.) to enhance your productivity.
