About this opportunity The primary purpose of the Fitter is to provide production support on plant machinery, including breakdown troubleshooting, project implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is part of a maintenance team covering 24-hour operations, 5 days a week, with additional support for weekend production as requiredYour key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>Maintenance and Repair</li><li>Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation.</li><li>Maintain assigned Site services including, .</li><li>Drive continuous improvement of maintenance processes to support operational goals.</li><li>Coordinate with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure effective support for safety, quality, and operational improvements</li><li>Installation</li><li>Install, assemble and test new machinery and equipment as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.</li><li>Collaborate with OEM manufacturers to install and commission equipment.</li><li>Troubleshooting</li><li>Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.</li><li>Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on a range of specialized equipment, including .</li><li>Perform Root Cause Analysis on all critical failures of plant and ensure action items derived are implemented and sustained</li><li>Safety Compliance</li><li>Ensure all equipment complies with Australian Safety Standards.</li><li>Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.</li><li>Documentation:</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent.</li><li> </li><li>Key Deliverables / Business Outcomes</li><li>Reliable and well-maintained machinery and equipment.</li><li>Reduced production downtime through effective maintenance and troubleshooting.</li><li>Compliance with safety standards and regulations.</li><li>Decision Making</li><li>Prioritize work based on production needs and safety considerations.</li><li>Make autonomous decisions regarding fault finding and troubleshooting.</li><li>Plan and execute maintenance activities to minimize production downtime</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment</li><li>Prior experience in latest technology and automation within a manufacturing environment</li><li>General mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance &amp; repairs on manufacturing production lines</li><li>Proven ability to problem solves for emergency maintenance and repair.</li><li>A team player with a positive, self-motivated and proactive attitude is essential.</li><li>Able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.</li><li>Stock control of relevant spare parts</li></ul>
