This leader will drive cross-site initiatives that improve quality, reduce lead times, optimize cost, and enhance safety—ensuring seamless execution of high-mix, custom water treatment projects.<div></div>Key Responsibilities:Multi-Site Engineering Leadership<ul><li>Lead a distributed team of manufacturing and process engineers supporting operations in Colorado Springs, CO; Spring Valley, CA; Acworth, GA; Plymouth and Chaska, MN; Ludington, MI; Bridgeport, NJ; and Mississauga, Canada.</li><li>Standardize manufacturing engineering tools, workflows, and documentation while supporting ETO and MTS flexibility across locations.</li><li>Collaborate with site leaders to ensure alignment between engineering support and operational priorities.</li></ul>Process Development &amp; Execution<ul><li>Translate engineered designs into efficient, repeatable manufacturing processes for custom skids, pump systems, control panels, and modular assemblies.</li><li>Facilitate design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews and ensure P&amp;IDs and layouts are optimized for buildability across sites.</li><li>Leads collaboration between design engineers and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.</li><li>Develop and maintain work instructions, test protocols, and documentation tailored to each manufacturing site.</li></ul>Process Optimization &amp; Lean Initiatives<ul><li>Drive cross-site process improvements using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve flow, and enhance build quality.</li><li>Scale best practices across sites to reduce variability and improve operational consistency in our manufacturing plants.</li><li>Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance KPIs like on-time delivery.</li></ul>Capital Projects &amp; Tooling Strategy<ul><li>Oversee selection and implementation of fabrication tools, equipment, and custom jigs to support product-specific manufacturing needs.</li><li>Align capital investments with strategic priorities across multiple locations.</li></ul>Project Execution &amp; Technical Support<ul><li>Supports daily manufacturing operations, reviewing engineering drawings against actual production outcomes and driving resolution to discrepancies.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges across sites to maintain execution continuity and customer satisfaction.</li><li>Partner with project management and field service teams to align engineering support with project schedules and technical requirements.</li><li>Evaluate and balance site capacity, skills, and workload to ensure delivery commitments are met.</li></ul>Quality &amp; Regulatory Compliance<ul><li>Partner with the Quality team to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., UL508A, ASME, NSF).</li><li>Support process audits and root cause investigations across all sites.</li><li>Drive collaboration on documentation control and test traceability to meet project-specific and industry requirements.</li></ul>Safety &amp; Environmental Stewardship<ul><li>Promote and enforce safety practices aligned with OSHA, NFPA, and local standards.</li><li>Ensure ergonomic and safe practices are embedded into mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.</li></ul><div></div>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.</li><li>5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an ETO or capital equipment environment, including 2+ years of leadership experience.</li><li>Background in water treatment equipment manufacturing strongly preferred.</li><li>Multi-site support or regional operations leadership experience required.</li><li>Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), SAP experience, and process improvement tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).</li><li>Familiarity with electrical/mechanical fabrication, PLC panel wiring, system assembly, and FAT procedures.</li><li>Willingness to travel up to 25% to support remote sites.</li></ul>Salary range:$93,900.00 - $169,000.00Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
