The opportunity

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer at Grid Automation business in Vaasa, Finland. You will support our local sales and engineering teams with cyber security-related requirements and deliver expert services to our existing customers globally. Actively seeking for ways to maintain and improve our cyber security levels is also part of the job. Serving as the key technical resource in the assigned area, you are a significant contributor to the ongoing digital transformation.

How you’ll make an impact

• Support our sales with cyber security questions and requirements
• Develop and maintain secured process and procedures of projecting
• Develop and maintain our internal and external cybers security services
• Auditing customer practices and systems
• Introduce best practices of cyber security to the team and customers
• Inform and give instructions of current vulnerabilities to team and customers

Your background

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant field, and experience in information technology, information security or communication networks.
• An in-depth understanding of cyber security technology, solutions and processes
• A self-motivated, structured and result oriented approach, with good time management skills and a drive to succeed
• Knowledge of industrial or power automation technology is an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Finnish
• Good documentation skills to ensure easy-to-adopt and consistent guidelines and customer documentation
• The ability to work independently as well as in teams
