AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to be based in our Burnaby, BC, office.This is a 3-month term set to begin as soon as possible. You will be expected to:<ul><li>Have knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics</li><li>Help evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and judgment based on guidance from lead engineers to design and construct HVAC and plumbing systems and equipment in buildings using REVIT and AutoCAD building information modeling (BIM)</li><li>Assist in performing calculations, based on direction and guidance from lead engineers, to evaluate buildings heating gains and losses, domestic plumbing sizing, and hydronic system pipe sizing</li><li>Help coordinate HVAC&amp;P systems with other disciplines to produce complete building designs</li><li>Learn how to engage with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers</li><li>Have excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical report writing and presentations</li></ul>
