AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer for employment within our Environmental Remediation Practices group in the Long Beach, CA office (or Orange) to support remediation system design and operations, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects.  The candidate will have prior experience in remediation system design and management/oversight of operations, maintenance, and monitoring. In addition, the candidate will have experience in data management and technical report production.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.  This is a Technical Lead position; therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and productively in a collaborative team-environment, foster team building through close interpersonal relationships and mentorship, display a high level of organization and communication, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn from Technical Leads and Project Managers. For the right candidate, this position holds significant growth potential.Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Remedial technology design</li><li>Modeling and analysis of remediation performance and subsurface conditions</li><li>Interfacing and writing reports to clients and regulatory agencies</li><li>Planning and managing environmental field work, including remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors</li><li>Project Management tasks including budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking</li><li>Flexibility to work on a wide variety of projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.  </li></ul>
