We are committed to continue building a diverse, passionate, and creative team dedicated to a future where every industrial facility, everywhere on earth, is powered by abundant, clean, low-cost energy.</div>  Position Summary The Controls and Software Engineer is responsible for integration of the control system and software used on both the Thermal Energy Storage, Boilers, and balance of plant systems.The Controls &amp; Software Engineer role is a full-time, site-based position.  Roles &amp; Responsibilities <ul><li>Architect, design, and modify PLC and SCADA software for use in our TES and balance of plant systems.</li><li>Take ownership of PLC software and SCADA software over specific projects and/or systems and drive it to implementation.</li><li>Develop test plans, check tools, and QA procedures for the software.</li><li>Write and take ownership of the Process Control Narratives, Cause and Effect Diagrams, State Diagrams, and Controls Operations Manuals.</li><li>Provide onsite and remote support for logic related issues in commissioning and upgrading.</li><li>Design and Commission upgrade and modification projects for existing sites.</li></ul> Key Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelors or equivalent in an engineering field (e.g. mechanical, industrial, process, electrical, software, automation etc.) and/or 5+ years’ experience in industrial applications (oil &amp; gas, chemicals, power plants, etc.) with control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) and instrumentation.</li><li>Experience programming “greenfield” and “brownfield” PLC and SCADA software</li><li>Familiarity with communications protocols such as Modbus, CAN bus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet</li><li>Able to read electrical schematics, and make red-lines as required.</li></ul> Additional Qualifications Desired <ul><li>Experience with processes engineering of systems like Power Plants, Boilers, Steam Generators and High Temperature Fluid loops.</li><li>Experience with Python, VBA, SQL</li><li>Commissioning experience such as developing and performing ITP, Loop Checkouts, FAT &amp; SAT.</li><li>Hands on experience with devices Motor Starters, VFDs, SCRs, valves and instrumentation like RTDs, Thermocouples and Transmitters</li></ul> Work Location:  Onsite - San Jose, CASalary Range:  $154,000 - $200,000Salary Basis:  AnnualThis job posting contains the salary range that Antora Energy believes it would be willing to pay for the posted job.
