We are looking for a motivated Senior Technical Accounting Manager who is excited about drafting and implementing accounting policies in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and being a key member of a world-class Accounting team at an organization making a meaningful difference in the world. You will direct the technical evaluation of Accounting policies and ensure our financial statements are following best practices in a way that scales with Aurora’s hyper-growth and sets the company up for future success. We are a passionate and diverse team that aspires to be the best place for the best people and we’re looking for talented people to accelerate our exponential growth as we continue to scale. What you'll do:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and related footnotes
  • Perform technical research on complex accounting issues (with a heavy emphasis on revenue arrangements) and provide accounting consultation to business partners under US GAAP
  • Draft and maintain global accounting policies and memos
  • Work with various cross-functional stakeholders on complex accounting issues
  • Keep business partners abreast of developments in accounting, financial reporting, and related company policies and positions
  • Continually evaluate and optimize accounting policies and processes relative to industry best practices
  • Lead or assist on special projects (reporting requests, compliance filings, internal controls, audits, etc.) 

What we value:

  • Expertise in US GAAP, financial statements, and SaaS accounting best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across functions and levels throughout the company
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big picture strategic understanding
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • CPA is required
  • Experience at a Big 4 or another national accounting firm is a plus
