Job Description

It's a Perfect Day to change the world! At Perfect Day, we're doing just that.
Perfect Day was founded in 2014 to create delicious, nutritious dairy products that everyone can love. We’re using fermentation (not animals) to make dairy proteins that are the foundation for foods like ice cream, cheese and yogurt – all with the distinctive taste and textures that consumers demand, but without lactose or environmental downsides. Through partnerships with respected brands, we’re working to launch a whole range of dairy products that will help shape a humane, sustainable food system for future generations.
As the leader of the Corporate FP&A team, you will lead our global decision support, budgeting and forecasting processes.   You will be responsible for performing financial analysis and modeling, designing and preparing the financial plan and budget, as well as preparing, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to management and the Board of Directors. You will partner closely with Business Finance and leaders across the company to deliver accurate financial forecasting and actionable insights.  You will play an integral role in driving value across the company and apply financial expertise to inform Perfect Day’s overall strategy.   The candidate will exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles. Other valued attributes that we are seeking are a strong work ethic, capacity to get things done independently, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment. This role can be remote, however, would require the ability to travel approximately 25%.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual Corporate FP&A processes, including management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Develop dashboards to track key performance measurements and monitor business performance.
  • Provide management with insights into drivers of revenue and expenses, as well as risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly reporting materials for our executive team as well as Board materials, presentations, and quarterly guidance.
  • Structure, build, and maintain complex financial and decision-making models to develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Work closely with the Finance Leadership Team to build the financial infrastructure to support the company’s current and future business requirements.
  • Partner with the Business Finance team to drive insights and business improvements in the organization.
  • Lead strategic projects and support senior leadership on ad hoc research and analysis.
  • Lead forecast and annual planning processes.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, economics or another related field. MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of applicable finance experience with time spent in FP&A.
  • Experience leading and developing the Corporate FP&A function.
  • Superb analytical/quantitative and communication skills and strong executive presence.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization.  Skilled at influencing others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build successful relationships and partner at all levels.
  • Have a broad business view, high degree of curiosity and ability to view the business and solve problems with an executive mindset.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Management consulting and/or investment banking experience.
  • Prior Corporate FP&A experience in a pre-IPO or small public company.
  • Experience leading and developing the Corporate FP&A function.
  • Proficiency with accounting and US GAAP.
  • Experience with ERP and corporate financial planning tools (NetSuite preferred).

It's a Perfect Day to change the world. The day when delicious dairy goodness is something everyone can love. The day we say goodbye to the downsides of factory farming. The day we throw a big party with luscious, animal-free milk, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream, all made with Perfect Day! We hope you join us!
