The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating leads, qualifying target accounts, advancing the sales process, and achieving revenue growth objectives. An ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a high-paced sales environment, managing dozens of accounts, and have superior communication skills to initiate contact with prospects and nurture accounts through a complex sales process. The Inside Sales Representative will support Sales Managers and conduct research to identify leads via online research, social media, email, and telephone calls.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

  • Work closely with Sales & Category managers to understand key product & category requirements and develop selling pitches in support of inside sales efforts.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, market research, and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and align Perfect Day solutions with those needs.
  • Log & route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Sales Managers for further development and closure.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects.
  • With inputs from sales & category management team leads develop weekly & monthly reporting, lead analytics, and insights with the detailed customer, market & competitive information for management; understand the go-to-market strategy and how to maximize lead generation & conversion efficiency.
  • Be a team player and proactively work with the Commercial Team to advance the sales process.
  • Any expanded job activity pertaining to customer acquisition such as but not limited to, customer on-boarding, small customer account management, sales promotion planning & execution, and trade shows.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years inside sales experience in the B2B Food Ingredient and/or Food Service industries.
  • Track record of expanding customer base and meeting revenue objectives.
  • Strong virtual meeting and phone presence.
  • Demonstrated capability to satisfactorily manage dozens of accounts and effectively execute numerous customer calls daily.
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
  • Analytical ability, proficient with office software tools like excel, word, PowerPoint, CRM and ERP platforms (experience with Oracle NetSuite a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and planning.
  • Practices active listening; has great presentation skills & great at collaborating and communicating across the functional areas in the organization and externally with the customers.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • This is a brand-new team and flexibility to flourish in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation and initiative is a must.
  • Up to 20% travel is required.
