The opportunitydcbel is looking to hire a QA developer to work in our growing Firmware/OS team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, improving, and maintaining our firmware automated testing infrastructure for our growing product line. The QA developer will develop and maintain an automated test infrastructure as well as the required tests for our platforms.  Main responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and participate in the development of test plans; writing tests procedures, executing tests, writing test reports, and creating/tracking software problem reports.</li><li>Identify and implement improvements in test coverage, cycle time reduction, scalability, and overall quality.</li><li>Participation in formal software qualification or certification activities with third party and/or governmental standards.</li><li>Architect and implement an automated test infrastructure for embedded systems.</li><li>Ensure the correct ongoing functionality of the developed infrastructure</li><li>Write functional tests leveraging the architected infrastructure</li><li>Perform release management for the firmware/OS team </li></ul> Key requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical or Software engineering</li><li>Experience with automated test frameworks (pytest, robot framework, xUnit, Lava, etc.)</li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines as applied to embedded systems</li><li>Demonstrated experience delivering consumer products involving custom-made hardware components</li><li>Recent experience with Azure DevOps and/or Jira</li><li>Familiarity with industrial/embedded busses, (CAN, modbus, rs-232, ethernet) </li><li>Knowledge of system safety and regulatory standards.</li><li>Knowledge of requirements management tools, problem tracking tools, configuration management tools and test management tools (XRAY, R4J, JIRA, ect.) </li></ul> Bonus skills <ul><li>Bilingual English and French </li><li>Familiarity with residential electrical installations, EV charging protocols and solar energy  </li></ul> Profile<ul><li>Autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset, result oriented and strong EQ  </li></ul> What's in it for you<ul><li>Be part of a company that is backed by numerous globally respected investors and has world-changing patents in an industry changing for the first time in history.</li><li>Grow your professional experience amongst blue chip partners and a close-knit team of committed and experienced energy experts who deeply care about the work they do.</li><li>Full benefits package including Health insurance, Health virtual care, employee stock options plan (ESOP) and flexible hours.
