The opportunitydcbel is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical-Thermal Design Engineer to work in our growing team. We are searching for a candidate with prior experience/knowledge related to thermal mitigation techniques for consumer electronic products. Main responsibilities<ul><li>Utilize Solidworks Flow Simulation software to design electronic cooling strategies for use in consumer products.</li><li>Design, analyze, prototype, and validate various cooling system components such as passive/active heatsinks, heat spreaders, and cooling fan systems.</li><li>Coordinate with component suppliers on prototype creation, tooling design, and production manufacturing logistics.</li><li>Create component drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and change orders.</li><li>Manage design CAD data via PLM/PDM systems.</li><li>Collaborate with Product Design, Electronics, Manufacturing, and Testing teams.</li><li>Ensure designed products meet the required quality and safety standards required for UL certification.</li></ul> Key requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar</li><li>10 years of prior experience as a mechanical-thermal design engineer </li><li>Expert in thermal simulation, analysis and testing</li><li>Expert in prototyping solutions and determine method for high volume manufacturing</li><li>A high degree of proficiency in SolidWorks CAD modeling </li><li>Expert in thermal simulation software (preferably Solidworks Flow)</li><li>Expert in heatsink design and manufacturing techniques</li><li>Expert in materials selection for cooling</li><li>Expert in designing consumer products for high volume manufacturing</li><li>Expert in understanding UL and NEC requirements</li><li>Expert in designing high power products</li></ul> Bonus skills <ul><li>Bilingual English and French </li></ul> Profile<ul><li>Autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset, result oriented and strong EQ  </li></ul> What's in it for you<ul><li>Be part of a company that is backed by numerous globally respected investors and has world-changing patents in an industry changing for the first time in history.</li><li>Grow your professional experience amongst blue chip partners and a close-knit team of committed and experienced energy experts who deeply care about the work they do.</li><li>Full benefits package including Health insurance, Health virtual care, employee stock options plan (ESOP) and flexible hours.
