THE ROLEThe senior level Technical Support Specialist will support internal and external customers via phone, email, face to face, or other media communication specifically on the McNeilus Volterra fully integrated Electric Refuse Collection Vehicle. This role will assist to repair and provide guidance on the overhaul of refuse equipment in the field.This position is primarily based at our Dodge Center, MN facility but may require regular travel in the central United States.YOUR IMPACTThese duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Act a primary point of contact for McNeilus dealers and customers for technical troubleshooting assistance on McNeilus EV models.</li><li>Able to guide troubleshooting activities over the phone and via email and ability to travel to support troubleshooting high complex issues as needed.</li><li>Maintain a professional relationship with customers and other departments necessary to support the customer.</li><li>Provide guidance for internal Technical Support Specialist on a mentor level as needed.</li><li>Communicate all service related McNeilus documentation such as service field bulletins, information notices, and product updates to McNeilus dealers, customers, and other team members.</li><li>Develop and maintain a knowledge database that will assist customers as a self-help and self-diagnostic tool for future support.</li><li>Support training development, training content audits.</li><li>Generate and utilize data from systems to provide analysis and guide other Technical Support Specialist in repair efforts.</li><li>Participate in New Product Development (NPD) teams as a service representative and in engineering change notice review.</li><li>Collaborate in continuous training efforts, both internally and externally, to maintain and increase proficiency on various products.</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>High School Diploma or its equivalent with five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.</li><li>Ability to travel up to 30%.</li><li>Ability to obtain a passport.</li></ul>STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Associate’s degree in the field or a related area.</li><li>Seven (7) or more years of experience.</li><li>Experience with contact center or hands on equipment repair work.</li><li>Detail oriented.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and the ability to read and understand schematics.</li><li>Strong problem solving proficiencies.</li><li>Advanced electrical and diagnostic experience or certifications</li><li>Experience troubleshooting CANBUS systems and high voltage electrical systems.</li><li>Bilingual - Fluent in French or Spanish.</li></ul>*OSK1917Pay Range:$63,500.00 - $101,700.00<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
