Electrical System Integration Engineer

Zoox's Advanced Hardware Engineering team is responsible for the design, development, and innovation of sensor technology and the compute platform for our vehicles. In this role, you will work within cross functional engineering teams to integrate our autonomous hardware into the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to test assets / vehicle bring up and testing, including hardware debug, log review/analysis etc. (at least 50% of time)
• Work on integration plan/specification/test for component / subsystem/ vehicle
• Provide cross functional design review
• Work extensively with cross-functional teams (vehicle engineering, firmware, software, mechanical, thermal, project management, harness, component owner) to ensure product success
• Provide feedback to product requirement and design for future improvement

Qualifications

• BS or MS in electrical engineering or equivalent and 3+ years of professional work experience
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals including power, high speed signal and EMC,
• Familiarity with electrical schematic and layout tools
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and complex system
• Experience work with Ethernet and related testing/debug toolFamiliar with lab equipment (power supply, signal generator, oscilloscopes, network analyzer)
• Strong problem solving skills (both technical and organizational)
• Strong hands on experienceStrong data analytic skillsStrong ownership, and self-motivated

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience work with CAN, USB, UART, I2C, GSML and related testing equipment /analytic tool
• Experience in automotive/EV/AV/aerospace/space or similar industries
• Experience with Python and linux environment 
• Experience with Polarian or other system requirement tool, system integration capture tool
• Experience with Harness review, connector selection
• Experience with 3D design/review tool
