Electrical Systems Engineer, Vehicle Development

The EE Systems team at Zoox is responsible for the design, development, and production of the vehicle's electrical distribution. Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with hardware engineering teams and suppliers to obtain harness relevant data.
• Own and design vehicle wiring diagrams.
• Collaborate with design engineers to develop wiring harness drawings.
• Work with the different teams across the company to calculate the appropriate wire sizes and select connectors.
• Wire Harness troubleshooting experience.
• Work with harness suppliers to ensure the availability of connectors and wire specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science Engineering.
• 3+ years working and troubleshooting automotive wire harnesses.
• Experience using Capital Logic, Zuken E3, or VeSys to create vehicle electrical diagrams.
• Experience using 3DX, Catia V5, or similar.
• Ability to work under pressure to accomplish company milestones.
• Work with techs and testing engineers to design test bots as needed.
• Automotive wire harness manufacturing experience.
• Work with Firmware and Integration teams to develop the Vehicle Topology and Architecture.
• CAN bus, LIN, and Automotive network experience.
• Safety cases design experience for electrical ECUs.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and thermal system architecture.

Bonus Qualifications

• USCAR Automotive Standards.
• ISO 26262 Knowledge.
