The location of this position is flexible – either in Auckland, Christchurch or HamiltonThis role is the key Finance partner for allocated businesses or segment/s, providing a financial lens to the formulation and delivery of the business plans and overall Divisional strategy.You will provide clear insight into the performance drivers and operations of the business, identify risk and opportunities, and bring a healthy balance of challenge and partnership to your business leaders.Your key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>P&amp;L and Balance Sheet – Accountable for the division/business P&amp;L and balance sheet reporting. Work collaboratively with the Finance team and the specialist (CoEs).</li><li>Partner with business leaders to enable sound decision-making through analysis, experience, and collaboration, leveraging the specialist Centres of Excellence teams as enablers.</li><li>Be accountable for connecting the business and its leaders to the technical/centralised Finance teams (FP&amp;A, Manufacturing Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Shared Services) to ensure the divisional context is understood and the cyclical Finance activities are delivered effectively and consistently.</li><li>Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting</li><li>Participate in setting Working Capital targets and monitor segment/divisional performance, including risks and opportunities.</li><li>Perform key analysis of profitability and business opportunities across areas such as customers, products, services, pricing, assets, utilisation, and labour productivity.</li></ul>To be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Expert level financial analysis skills and experience with the ability to turn business analysis into insights and clearly articulate these to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.</li><li>5+ years of experience working in a fast-moving business environment, with at least 3-5 years of financial management experience and 3-5 years of commercial Finance experience.</li><li>Experience in pricing and negotiation, sounds understanding of management accounting.</li><li>Demonstrated experience from working in cross-functional teams, with Finance and other stakeholders.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in driving process improvement.</li><li>Experience supporting M&amp;A activities including integrations and separations.</li></ul>
