This position performs design, testing, and verification activities to ensure all requirements and development processes are satisfied for current and future products. This position is based in Hannover, Germany.Key Responsibilities: What you will do<ul><li>Review customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory standards and internal design guidelines to establish product electrical requirements.</li><li>Perform the requirement analysis and validation planning activities in accordance with automotive functional safety and ASPICE processes.</li><li>Perform design verification activities such as engineering analysis, simulation, design reviews, DFMEAs, validation testing and reporting in accordance with automotive functional safety and ASPICE processes.</li><li>Lead design direction for core and customer electronic circuit designs covering analog, digital, micro-controller architecture, DCDC converters, and design of power semiconductor circuits. </li><li>Generate technical requirements of electrical architecture and electrical circuit design, components and sub-assemblies including PCBA, contactors, fans, temperature sensors, Flex PCBs and other electrical hardware. </li><li>Generate hardware / software interface specifications and electronic test software requirements, working closely with the embedded software engineering team.</li><li>Design and test for vehicle level electrical and electromagnetic performance per customer requirements.</li><li>Optimize the electrical system design to balance cost, performance, mass, volume, and energy efficiency.</li><li>Review electrical design analyses and test results in support of design verification.</li><li>Define test setups, plans, and execute tests for electrical circuits and components.st setups.</li><li>Evaluate Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders for completeness.</li><li>Lead technical investigations and resolutions of electrical component and circuit issues.</li><li>Develop relationships with suppliers to deliver components to specifications.</li><li>Actively participates on assigned project teams and tasks with other engineering disciplines.</li><li>Mentor and guides other professionals with state-of-the-art design principles and best practices.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills @ Abilities: What we look for<ul><li>Bsc. / Msc. degree from accredited four-year college or university.</li><li>12+ years of professional engineering experience in related fields</li><li>Experience with schematic capture, for example Altium, is required</li><li>Experience with electronic circuit debug, test, and simulation tools are required</li><li>Experience with requirement management tools, for example Doors or Jama is required</li><li>OE Automotive/Tier 1 experience with powertrain systems/components is required</li><li>Experience with Lithium-Ion battery management electronics is highly desired</li><li>Solid communication and organizational skills</li><li>Good computer skills (Microsoft Office Suites)</li><li>Fluency in English, German is a plus</li></ul>Benefits: What we can offerAs a technology leader with strong brand (i.e. VARTA® and OPTIMA®), Clarios notably lives on the creativity, capability and satisfaction of its employees.
