AECOM actively supports continued education, training, and innovations in professional development, encouraging employees to gain new industry insights and value for our clients.Ideal candidates have a strong background and interest in vertical building development as well as the related Site development, having the ability to be part of a collaborative project team, be client-focused, and produce great works.  This individual will participate in all aspects from project identification through conceptual and final designs and providing support activities during construction. AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, master planning, urban planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture.  Our Tampa office includes all disciplines and regularly works across offices and the region.Positions Available: We are accepting resumes for the following positions:<ul><li>Mechanical Engineer IV</li><li>Mechanical Engineer V</li></ul>The job responsibilities for these positions will include, but may not be limited, the following:<ul><li>Serve as Discipline Lead for the Mechanical Engineering team and have direct reports in varying levels of their career.</li><li>Serving as lead mechanical engineer HVAC designs on a variety of building project types, including mid-to large size architecture and facility projects.</li><li>Able to organize workload and work independently on project-specific design tasks and lead staff.</li><li>Able to communicate and present with clients and discuss/explain technical solutions to project conditions.</li><li>Project meetings and coordinating with the Architect of Record</li><li>Performing quality control reviews of work developed by others.</li><li>Providing technical input to studies and design and expertise for staff's specific areas of expertise/assignment.</li><li>Coordinate scope, schedule, budget in working with project managers and other senior level team members.</li><li>Using AutoCAD and REVIT for designs, engineering, and documentation.</li><li>Using energy modeling software applications such as Trane Trace and IES.</li><li>Mentoring and providing guidance to junior level staff for design approach and specific technical design aspects (design tools, analysis, standards, design, and calculations, etc.).</li><li>Provide direction to prescriptive and performance-based specifications.</li><li>Participating in development of technical proposals (including estimates for the engineering budget and schedule)</li><li>Reviewing permitting agency/engineering standards and regulations necessary to develop proper project design and permitting applications.</li><li>Work closely with other departments from the AECOM project team/office, including civil, architecture, building engineering, geotechnical, traffic engineers, landscape architects to provide value and partner in project opportunities.</li><li>Participating and supporting site investigations and construction related activities.</li></ul>
