Datacenter Infrastructure Architect

Zoox is looking for a Site Operations Engineer on the IT Platform team to come help us achieve our mission of providing Autonomous Mobility. This individual will work cross-functionally with multiple engineering teams at Zoox to support the best practices of deploying IT equipment at Zoox sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the uptime and availability of IT equipment Zoox sites
• Identify potential issues and plan remediations
• Coordinate with internal teams on capacity forecasting and planning
• Work closely with vendors on current and future sites
• Continuously monitor sites for operational efficiency
• Assist with infrastructure build outs and planning
• Maintain the technical and business relationship with Zoox and its site vendors

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of power and cooling systems
• Familiarity with challenges associated with HPC needs
• Expert understanding of IT hardware infrastructure
• Ability to translate compute needs into power and cooling requirements
• Expert written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to communicate with all levels of business

Vaccine Mandate
Employees working in this position will be required to have received a single dose of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine OR have completed the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series. In addition, employees will be required to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccine by the earlier of (1) April 15 or (2) within two months of becoming eligible for the booster vaccine.
