Various groups such as Nuclear Operations, Work Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, MCR, Outages, and others depend on this team to ensure their technology platforms remain stable and effective.The Senior Information Systems Analyst will support the Enterprise Applications Section with a focus on Service Now and other Enterprise solutions and offer IT services in the form of incident and problem management, project contribution including design, planning and execution, and continuous improvement through advanced planning and on-going prioritization, for a large portfolio of business users across Bruce Power.This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare and maintain Branch business and office information management systems strategies, standards, policies, guidelines and architectural framework.</li><li>Develop and make effective recommendations on the adoption of policies, practices and procedures including associated work methods.</li><li>Provide advice, guidance, and instruction to personnel in the division regarding interpretation and explanation of new information management systems policies, practices, and procedures.</li><li>Establish standards to assist the Manager in the development of an integrated and/or interfaced information management framework.</li><li>Work with users, line unit support staff, consultants, and vendors to identify opportunities for new applications or enhancements.</li><li>On assigned projects, work with a senior project leader in planning, coordinating, designing, developing, implementing, operating, and maintaining Branch information systems. Frequently act as the team leader.</li><li>Provide a minimum set of standard and supported applications, operating systems and communications protocols.</li><li>Assist the Manager in reviewing and providing assessments of Branch system proposals and monitoring of their implementation and operation.</li><li>Under the guidance of the Manager, provide a consulting service related to the computing (hardware and software) systems and information technology needs of the Branch. Define the problem areas and develop alternative approaches for solution and their effect upon related aspects of the Branch's and line units' budgets. Provide data, advice and support to management and staff within the Branch line units.</li><li>Prepare and make presentations on all aspects of systems development. Develop and provide direct training to users whenever it is more cost-effective or customized training is more desirable.</li><li>Maintain inventory records on all computer hardware, software and communication components within the Branch as a basis for assisting in the preparation of a consolidated information technology business plan and budget.</li><li>As required, represent the department on committees or task forces both internal and external to Bruce Power and influence parties to comply with actions beneficial to the Branch's interest.</li><li>Act as a consultant in providing technical guidance and support to students, local support staff, and consultants.</li><li>Set the priorities of the team including consideration of department goals, project requirements, strategic roadmap, end of life and lifecycle planning</li><li>Provides technical direction to analysts; deep dives for complex issues that need resolution.  Ensures quality execution of changes from an oversight perspective.</li><li>Works with architecture team on technical design solutions and roadmaps</li><li>Where applicable, support Service Delivery Lead or Project Managers in creation of schedule and forecasts and provides reports to leadership.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform other duties as required.</li></ul>Knowledge and Skills:<ul><li>Providing technical support for the ServiceNow platform inclusive of supporting customers in IT, HR, and others across the organization. </li></ul><ul><li>Designing, testing and deployment of configuration, workflow administration, integrations, reporting, and scripting in alignment with ServiceNow best practices.  </li></ul><ul><li>Creating and maintaining detailed documentation for ServiceNow processes and provide training to end-users as needed. </li></ul><ul><li>Deployment of solutions in alignment with ITIL best practices.  </li></ul><ul><li>Assisting in the planning and execution of ServiceNow upgrades and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to users. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with ServiceNow for ITOM, IRM, ITSM, HAM, SAM, APM, including use of Certificate Management Configuration Management Database (CMBD) </li></ul><ul><li>Highly skilled in ITIL v4 framework, principles, and various practices to lead and implement ITIL-based service management.
