In addition, operators make minor adjustments during troubleshooting, recognize and diagnose machine problems, and participate in operator preventative maintenance of equipment such as cleaning, greasing, and replacing small parts. Perform visual inspection of machines for quality or productivity problems. Perform required quality checks as trained.How You Will Do It:<ul><li>Adhere to all safety standards including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator).</li><li>Learn how to perform all functions on assigned production machines, including controlling and adjusting machine settings, feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.</li><li>Verify product meets quality standards and keep records of approved and defective units.</li><li>Clean equipment, tools, etc. and surrounding area between jobs to maintain a clean and orderly work area.</li><li>Grease and oil machines and perform minor repairs.</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance on machines.</li><li>Prepare daily production, maintain records of production and time reports.</li></ul>What We Look For:<ul><li>Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.</li><li>1 + year(s) of experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Ability to work in a hot environment.</li><li>Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Basic computer skills.</li><li>Basic math, reading and writing skills.</li><li>Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.</li><li>Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.</li><li>Must be able to wear required PPE.</li></ul>What we Do:Geneva, Illinois is home to a fully integrated plant that manufactures batteries used in the automotive and marine industries.
