Job Description

The PLM Analyst is a member of the Vehicle Development team. This person will support a broad range of activities establishing processes, methodologies, and standards for CAD, PLM, and Product Data management.
You will proactively develop and document new methods and mentor and train users in established CAD and PLM methodologies. The employee will also work with various engineering organizations in a daily support role to help resolve issues with CATIA, 3DExperience PLM, and other data systems platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Elicitation of requirements and continuous improvement of CATIA modeling, drafting, and PLM methodologies, and best practices for product engineering groups.
  • Work with key business users and IT implementation engineers to define, validate, and deploy improvement packages for CAD and PLM systems.
  • Develop documentation and perform training and targeted mentoring to key users of the PLM and enterprise systems ecosystem.
  • Provide daily support to help engineers resolve errors, understand methods, and function efficiently in CATIA and PLM environments.
  • Automate and streamline data management and data sharing processes within and between organizations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience working with and deploying improvements to CAD Data and enterprise-scale PLM/PDM data systems
  • In-depth experience in CATIA modeling and drawing standards best practices and data management for complex products
  • Ability and desire to work cross-functionally with engineering data authors and downstream data customers to resolve issues holistically

Bonus Qualifications

  • Design Engineering background and experience in automotive, aerospace, or robotics industries
  • Coding skills and experience writing and maintaining CATIA macros and automation
