Production Supervisor

The Advanced Hardware Manufacturing Operations team supports the development of various electronic hardware. We provide rapid prototyping capability and low volume hardware assembly, facilitating quick design iterations for product development. We are looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, innovative, a self-starter, and willing to take on the challenges to work with us as an exceptional production supervisor.  The supervisor will report to the Production Manager. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the effective and efficient supervision of their assigned area’s resources including all personnel, equipment, and tools utilized for operations of the manufacturing area.  They provide their team daily guidance and leadership, work direction, and necessary problem solving within their responsibility to ensure daily safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery is met. They are actively involved in Production Continuous Improvement activities and have complete oversight that all company policies and procedures are maintained and followed by their team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective supervision and coaching to assigned employees to achieve the required quality and production goals. Manage the movement of products through the production area.
• Perform all personnel-related functions related to production assembly staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure that product is in the process at all times. Plan and organize work to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
• Work with the Mechanical Engineering team to ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality.
• Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and Zoox’s safety program.
• Work with employees to resolve technical and personnel problems. Schedule employees to effectively meet production needs and to ensure vacation and other time off are consistent with Zoox policies. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by department management.

Requirements

• Associates or B.S or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
• 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, NPI environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality.
• Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Vaccine Mandate
Employees working in this position will be required to have received a single dose of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine OR have completed the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series. In addition, employees will be required to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccine by the earlier of (1) April 15 or (2) within two months of becoming eligible for the booster vaccine.
