Job Description
Delivering Zoox's mission of autonomous mobility primarily involves two stages - validating software in simulation before testing it in the real world and gathering insights from the data collected after real-world testing. The grand goal of the Data Apps team is to help developers at Zoox validate and infer insights from their changes across the autonomy stack in a reliable, and performant manner with faster iteration between the two stages.
To that end, the Data Apps team at Zoox owns and maintains products that developers across the Perception, Prediction, Motion Planning, and release teams rely on in their day-to-day workflow. We are looking for Software Engineers with experience and an active interest in developing micro-services. You'll be working closely with the frontend developers to bring to life a performant product. If you are someone with a passion for developing performant APIs and are willing to take ownership and responsibility then you will be a great fit for the team.
Vaccine Mandate
Employees working in this position will be required to have received a single dose of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine OR have completed the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series. In addition, employees will be required to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccine within two months of becoming eligible for the booster vaccine.

Requirements
- Have a high engineering discipline: coding, code, and design reviews, documentation, performance monitoring, and maintenance.
- Solid foundations in Python.
- Fluency in SQL.
- Experience using Postgres.
- Professional and positive communication skills.
Bonus Requirements
- Experience with Flask or FastAPI.
- A knack for monitoring and optimizing query performance.
