Job Description
Delivering Zoox's mission of autonomous mobility primarily involves two stages - validating software in simulation before testing it in the real world and gathering insights from the data collected after real-world testing. The grand goal of the Data Apps team is to help developers at Zoox validate and infer insights from their changes across the autonomy stack in a reliable, and performant manner with faster iteration between the two stages.
To that end, the Data Apps team at Zoox owns and maintains products that developers across the Perception, Prediction, Motion Planning, and release teams rely on in their day-to-day workflow. We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern with an active interest in building web-based products with intuitive frontends and performant microservices. You'll be working closely with the customers from the requirements gathering phase all the way to the maintenance phase. If you are someone with a passion for web development and are willing to take ownership and responsibility then you will be a great fit for the team.

Requirements
- Currently working towards a B.S., M.S., Ph.D. or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program and within 1 year of graduation
- Minimum of a 3.5 gpa
- Able to commit to a minimum of a 12-week internship
- Professional and positive communication skills
- Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California
- Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox.
Qualifications
- Solid foundations in Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
- Fluency in Python.
- Good understanding of the fundamentals of SQL.
- Professional and positive communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Vue, React, or Svelte.
- Experience in designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
