Strategic Technical Buyer - Returnship

The Path Forward Return to Work program at Zoox is a 16-week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce. The program is open to individuals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caregiving of any kind. This role will be responsible for executing Zoox’s strategic purchasing strategy, which includes working cross-functionally to understand needs for third-party engagement across the business, finding and evaluating potential partners and suppliers, drafting and issuing RFQs, identifying and executing on cost reduction opportunities, ensuring on-time delivery of supplies, and managing the overall Procure-to-Pay processes. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth procure to pay process by working with stakeholders across Engineering, Logistics and Finance 
• Manage incoming requisitions, develop and execute purchasing strategies, and liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues with POs and invoices
• Monitor all key indicators related to assigned categories, including category spend
• Attend cross functional team meetings; report updates and manage action items
• Perform market and benchmark analysis for focused categories 
• Work with IT Systems team to ensure optimal systems are in place to support purchasing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of P2P systems preferred (Ariba, Coupa, etc.)
• Superior analytical skills 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders 
• Organizational skills to manage and track transactional details 

Bonus Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, consulting or program management in a technology driven industry
• Program management and process improvement skills 

Vaccine Mandate
Employees working in this position will be required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
