Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!<h1>Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li>Engage the customer at the pre-design and design phase to provide value, design input, and insight for new developments.</li><li>This role is focused on the dynamic and expanding Battery and Power Electronics market segments.</li><li>Relate FNST business or product plans to customer as needed</li><li>Provide market information as provided via benchmarking</li><li>As supplier representative create connections with pertinent FNST contacts at laboratory or plant for design, manufacturing feasibility, quality or materials concerns</li><li>Make recommendations for quality improvements from analysis of warranty parts and data</li><li>Report results of field investigations and assembly teardowns</li><li>Work with associated FNST and customer organizations (materials engineering; tribology and lubrication; CAE; program management; etc.)</li><li>Maintenance of open issues list</li><li>Assist in formal problem resolution with FNST plant quality personnel</li><li>Participate in cost-reduction initiatives and VA/VE</li><li>Prompt reporting and follow-up of corrective actions to quality problems with Freudenberg-NOK product</li><li>Provide catalyst to ensure correctness and timeliness of customer responses by eliminating communication roadblocks within capabilities of FNGP and customer</li><li>Insure timely response and liaison to customer requests including:</li><li>All other duties as required and domestic travel at 20-30% + potential.</li></ul><h1>Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing or equivalent)</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and “hunter” mentality</li><li>Ability to travel to FNST production sites and customers as required</li><li>Aggressive self-starter with strong organization skills and attention to details requiring minimal supervision</li><li>3-5 years application engineering experience or similar</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong analytical problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to multi-task</li><li>Hands-on mechanical aptitude</li><li>Project management experience a plus</li></ul>The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
